We are a Pre-K through 12th grade co-educational independent day school on a beautiful 42-acre lakefront campus in downtown Orlando. Lake Highland is devoted to developing the intellect and character of its students and providing  an exciting and inspirational learning environment for each one of them.

Rigorous academics are complemented by strong offerings in the arts, athletics and extracurricular activities to create an unsurpassed experience for our 1,982 students. Our PreK through 6th grade enrollment is 815 students, 367 students are in grades 7 and 8, and 800 students in grades 9-12.

LHPS is home to nationally recognized scholars, athletes, scientists and artists. 

  • Lake Highland students are recognized nationally for their achievements in scientific research, earning top awards at  county, state and national science competitions.
  • Our athletic program features 57 teams that compete in 21 sports. Each year, many of our teams advance to state and regional competitions, often capturing a state championship. 
  • Last year, Upper School students contributed 41,353 hours in community service.
  • 47% of our faculty members hold advanced degrees, 61 faculty members have earned the ‘Gifted Endorsement’ teaching credential.
